Lipetsk was named the most orthodox city in Russia. The Department of Sociology of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation presented these results on the day before Christmas. The survey was held in cities that exceeded 250 000 residents, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta. Precisely in Lipetsk the majority of the respondents self-identified as believers. 95 percent of the respondents self-identified as either Orthodox or supporters of Orthodox faith and culture.
