Office of the ‘Platon’* Program in Kemerovo Set on Fire

Unidentified persons threw Molotov cocktails at the Kemerovo office of OOO RT-Invest Transportnye Sistemy – a company responsible for payment collection from trucks participating in the ‘Platon’ program. This was reported by news portal supported by witness reports from locals.

Nikolay Bad’ukov, interviewed by the portal, tells that the fire happened on the premises of the operator company on Lenin Prospekt 67. “Now there are no more signs that the fire happened, only the broken windows have been replaced with chipboard inserts”, he remarks.

The website of the General Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kemerovo oblast reports that the fire in the office on Lenin Prospekt in the night of January 9-10 has been stopped. The announcement does not make any specifications regarding the office. 26 persons and 7 vehicles took part in putting out the fire.

The police did not specify if there is an investigation underway to find the cause of the fire, promising to do that later.

In the beginning of December, the ‘Platon’ office in Orenburg was attacked. Multiple rounds were fired from an air riffle as well as an attempt to set fire to it took place. The residents of the building, the first floor of which is occupied by the office, informed, that unidentified individuals attacked the office. The assault was stopped by the security on location.
